PM Trudeau doesn't think his leadership is in danger
Despite pressure from within the Liberal Party, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau still believes his leadership is not in danger. When asked about worrying about his fate at an important meeting with the party, he simply said "no" and continued on his way. However, Tuesday's meeting is set to examine Trudeau's future at the helm of the Liberal Party, especially as some members of the party look to step down.
Cabinet ministers such as Arif Virani, the Minister of Justice, have meanwhile supported the prime minister and told reporters that they still support his leadership. But even so, tensions are rising within the Liberal Party, especially as some senior cabinet ministers have announced they will not run in the upcoming election.
These developments represent significant pressures on Trudeau that may affect his leadership and political future.
