Parked car goes up in flames sending black smoke over Barrie parking lot
A parked car caught fire in a parking lot in Brary, Ontario, sending lots of black smoke into the sky.
The incident happened on Friday, just after 2pm, when the Berari Fire Department responded to a car fire in the Bryn Street parking lot in Berari.
Deputy Fire Chief Eric McFadden said he was in a nearby plaza at the time and saw black smoke in the sky.
Officials said the fire started in the engine of a Volkswagen Jetta khaki, but the cause of the fire is still unknown.
Brari fire department announced that the fire team was able to extinguish the fire quickly and there was no need to send a second fire engine.
The amount of damage to the car has not yet been determined.
