A northern Ontario couple has been charged with the murder of their three-month-old daughter, who was found without vital signs in September 2022.

Jeffrey and Michelle Doonan of King Kirkland have been charged with second-degree murder, criminal negligence causing death and failure to provide the essential necessities of life for their daughter.

The Ontario Provincial Police announced that the charges against the mother were made between May 16 and September 3, 2022.

On September 3, 2022, police were called to assist ambulances at a home in Chamberlain County. This girl died after being transferred to the hospital without vital signs.

The cause of death has not yet been determined and this is the responsibility of the medical examiner.
