No auto show this year as Detroit event jumps back to January
The Detroit Auto Show will be held in 2024 as organizers shift the show to a winter event.
"After speaking with the partner, we believe the January date makes perfect sense," said Rod Alberts, director of the Detroit Auto Show and Detroit Auto Dealers Association.
January is traditionally when it's shown, but in the wake of COVID-19, everything was moved to the summer.
The 2025 edition will begin with a charity preview on Friday, Jan. 10, and run through Monday, Jan. 20, Alberts said.
Our main goal is to create an impressive car show and showcase our great city and industry.
This announcement comes as automakers comment on their presence in such exhibitions, referring to the "challenging automotive market".
