New change at WestJet; more comfortable but more expensive seats
✈️ WestJet Canada has announced a new plan that aims to increase variety and comfort on flights — albeit at a higher cost to passengers.
💺 Under the new cabin design, economy class seats will be offered in three levels:
The rear section with less space and lower prices,
The middle section with standard space,
and the front rows with more space and comfort.
But the important difference is that from now on, regular seats will no longer be able to recline, and only new models called Extended Comfort will have the ability to adjust the backrest for an additional fee.
🌟 There will be no changes in the Premium section, and fully adjustable seats, ergonomic cushions and four-way headrests will still be available, similar to the company's luxury Dreamliner models.
🇨🇦 The plan will be implemented on 43 new WestJet aircraft, and the first flight with the new design will begin this month. The company's ultimate goal is to create more diverse choices for passengers and enhance the air travel experience.
