Editing of a man in a home invasion in presence
A Longueville resident was injured in a home invasion early Saturday morning, January 4, 2025, with a child present.
At around 12:45 am, three suspects entered a house on Boulevard Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier in the Saint-Hubert area.
According to initial information from the Longueville Police (SPAL), a man in his 50s was hit with a bladed weapon.
"He was injured but not taken to hospital," Longueville police spokeswoman Constable Melanie Mercil said. "A 50-year-old woman and a child were also present at the scene, but luckily they were not injured."
The suspects fled the scene after stealing the victim's car and money. The car was quickly found by the police.
Mersil added: "It is possible that the suspects intended to target another person."
Longueville police have begun their investigation and have set up a perimeter to protect the crime scene.
The suspects who fled the scene have not yet been arrested.
Any information about the suspects can be provided to police by calling the Info-Azimut line at (450) 646-8500 or online at
