Cocaine, weapons seized in Central Ontario drug bust
A man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) seized a large stash of drugs and guns in Orangeville earlier this week.
On Thursday evening, various OPP units served a search warrant at a location on Madison Street.
Officers seized 62 grams of cocaine, 18 hydromorphone pills, 4 grams of fentanyl, approximately $4,000 in Canadian cash, two stun guns and a 22-caliber rifle, among other items.
A 35-year-old Orangeville man faces six charges related to drug trafficking, possession of proceeds of crime and possession of a weapon with dangerous intent.
The defendant is scheduled for a future court date.
