Clocks are moved back one hour
Daylight saving time will be ending in Ontario and Quebec, and the clocks in these two regions will fall back one hour at 2:00 AM on November 5th. Daylight saving time was introduced in Ontario back in 1918. In 2020, Ontario passed a law that allowed for the possibility of ending the time change and keeping daylight saving time year-round in the province. Some people and politicians supported this move, but its implementation hinges on the participation of the province of Quebec and the state of New York in the United States, which has not happened yet.
According to experts, changing the clocks can disrupt the body's internal clock, similar to experiencing jet lag when traveling between different time zones.
This disruption of the body's internal clock can increase the likelihood of heart attacks, strokes, weight gain, and anxiety. Even these time changes can lead to an increase in car accidents and workplace injuries.
