Canadian lottery 2023 has started

The parents' and grandparents' lottery begins today and will continue until October 23. During this period, IRCC will send out ITAs (Invitations to Apply) to 24,200 potential financial supporters. These ITAs are being sent to individuals selected as potential financial supporters since 2020. The goal of IRCC is to receive more than 15,000 applications. If you have expressed an interest in financially supporting your parents, grandparents, or both, but have not received an ITA, you should check your email, which you provided when expressing your interest in financial support in 2020. The Minimum Necessary Income (MNI) is a qualifying factor for the parents' and grandparents' sponsorship program.
Research indicates that a financial supporter for those wishing to immigrate to Canada should possess financial stability. Additionally, in every province or territory except Quebec, those being invited to apply must provide financial assessment notices from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) for the three tax years before their application. If you reside in Quebec and wish to financially support your parents, grandparents, your income will be assessed according to the income criteria set by the Quebec Immigration Ministry. IRCC and the Quebec government require a signed commitment from a potential financial supporter. The commitment period is 20 years in all provinces except Quebec, where it is 10 years. If you do not ultimately receive an invitation, another option is the Super Visa.
Super Visa
The Super Visa allows permanent residents and Canadian citizens to bring their parents, grandparents, and dependents to Canada from abroad. The Super Visa is a temporary visa that permits them to visit their family in Canada for up to five years, without needing to renew their visitor status during that time. Super Visa holders can enter Canada multiple times for up to ten years. Additionally, Super Visa holders may be eligible to apply for an extension, allowing them to stay in Canada for a maximum of seven years as visitors. The main advantage of the Super Visa is that it does not involve a lottery system; it is available throughout the year and is accessible to eligible individuals.

To be eligible, applicants must:

1. Have parents/grandparents who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
2. Not be inadmissible to Canada based on health or criminality grounds.
3. Demonstrate that they can meet the income requirements set by the Low Income Cut-Off (LICO).
4. Provide a signed letter of invitation from their child or grandchild, including a financial support commitment for the duration of the visit along with a list of family members.
5. Provide documentation of medical insurance coverage for a minimum of one year with a Canadian insurance company.
