Canadian Finals Rodeo returning to Edmonton in 2024
This major event will return to Edmonton next year. After relocating to Red Deer five years ago, the Canadian Finals Rodeo is coming back to Alberta's capital under a three-year agreement at Rogers Place for the years 2024, 2025, and 2026. This announcement was made by Explore Edmonton on Wednesday. Edmonton has a long history with professional rodeo; the CFR began in 1974 and was held at the old Edmonton Gardens and Northlands Coliseum. Explore Edmonton stated that over the years, the CFR frequently sold out more than 15,000 seats at the former venue. It took place concurrently with the Farm Fair International at the nearby Edmonton Expo Centre, turning central Edmonton into a hub of agricultural activity.
