Ax attack by man in Richmondhill
According to police, around 7 p.m. on Dec. 13, the male suspect was at a home on Highland Park Boulevard where he got into an argument with another man. The suspect, armed with an ax, then attacked the victim, who was able to save himself and call 911. It is not clear how serious the victim's injuries were. Alexander Gordon Dykes, 59, of no fixed address, is wanted on multiple charges, including assault with a weapon and two counts of failure to comply with probation.
Dykes was last seen on Highland Park Boulevard and Young Street the night of the attack. Police warned the public that the suspect is known to carry various weapons, such as a hammer or an axe, so do not approach him if you see him. Due to Dykes' violent personality, authorities asked citizens to call 911 if they see him. The photos of the suspect have been published and he is described as being about 180 cm tall and weighing about 82 kg.
