After 100 days as mayor of Toronto, Olivia Chu is still riding high
It's been a busy few months for Mayor Olivia Chow.
In July, Olivia Chow was sworn into the mayoral office after a hard-fought election race that drew more than 100 challengers. In this position, he promised to put people first by doing things differently, developing more affordable housing, improving transportation and providing better services in the city of Toronto.
Now, after 100 days (since then), he has been able to do more than many critics imagined.
In an interview, Olivia Chow spoke about her first few months in the role, saying, "It's been amazing. It's really been a complete honor."
Being able to meet people across the city has been inspiring, he said, adding, "It really gives me a sense of how much people love their city and how important it is to us to provide the best service."
100 days in, Olivia Chow continues to be motivated and energized to improve the city of Toronto, and we look forward to seeing what the future holds for her."
