About 1.2 million Jeep, Dodge and Chrysler vehicles are being recalled for a rearview camera problem
Stellantis has issued a recall for about 1.2 million vehicles in the United States and Canada due to a software defect that could disable rear-view cameras. The recall covers various Jeep, Dodge, Ram and Chrysler models from 2021 to 2023.
Problem:
A software flaw in these cars could inadvertently turn off the rearview cameras, which could increase the risk of a crash.
Affected vehicles:
Jeep Compass, Grand Cherokee, Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models 2022 and 2023
2022 and 2023 Ram ProMaster vans
Ram 3500 chassis cabs and Ram 1500 and 2500 pickups 2022 model
Chrysler Pacifica models 2021 to 2023
Jeep Grand Cherokee L models 2021 to 2023
Dodge Durango models 2021 and 2022
Corrective actions:
Stellantis is offering owners of affected vehicles a free software update. This update can be installed through the Stellantis website or at authorized dealers.
