A couple from Toronto is having their wedding on a streetcar

A couple from Toronto recently entered the viral world of social media thanks to an extraordinary idea. While most people assumed that Lisa and James met each other in one of the city's trams and decided to get married, the truth was that this idea came about after investigating the high costs of wedding halls in the city.

Lisa commented: “It was our idea; Because we wanted to have a small and simple wedding ceremony. I'm not one of those people who look for fluffy dresses and crowns. This style does not suit me." Instead of paying for a traditional wedding venue, the couple decided to donate the proceeds to three charities: CAMH, Covenant House and United Way of Greater Toronto.

"It cost about $26 to take the tram to where we wanted to have dinner," Lisa added.

On Saturday, at 4pm, the couple were on their way to Rodney's Oyster House by tram. When Lisa was walking along the streetcar, the passengers in the streetcar noticed this incident and started recording and filming. One of these videos was published on Tik Tok and attracted more than 340 thousand views.
