73-year-old man dies in Wallaceburg crash
Chatham-Kent Police say a 73-year-old man has died after a crash in the Wallaceburg area. On Wednesday at 9:53 a.m., emergency crews responded to a vehicle accident at the intersection of Main/Murray Street and Margaret Street. Police said a man traveling eastbound on Margaret Street veered right into the westbound lane and collided with a tractor-trailer approaching the intersection westbound. The Walpole Island man was taken to Chatham-Kent Health Alliance Hospital, Wallaceburg Unit for medical attention. Police said that medical personnel tried to save his life, but were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
