11-year-old Quebec hockey player dies after being hit by a puck
An 11-year-old boy died Tuesday in Saint-Eustache, northwest of Montreal, after being hit in the neck by a puck during a hockey league practice.
The Saint-Eustache police (SPVSE) confirmed the boy's death on Friday.
After the incident at the Walter-Baswell complex, the child was taken to a hospital in Montreal for treatment.
It has been announced that the child was required to wear protective equipment at the time of the incident and Hockey Quebec checked that the guards are some of the normal protective equipment for players. This news is hard to hear. The compatriots expressed their condolences to the family of these loved ones.
