Young driver clocked at nearly 100 km/hr over speed limit
A 21-year-old driver was fined for driving more than twice the speed limit in a safety zone in Caledon, Ontario on Sunday.
According to the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Caledon, the driver, who had a G2 license and is from Brampton, was going 152 km/h in a safety zone with a 60 km/h speed limit on Mayfield Road, near Dixie Road. .
This driver was accused of show driving (excessive speed) and faced a 30-day suspension of his driver's license and a 14-day impoundment of his car.
He must appear in court on a scheduled date to answer the charges.
