A woman who had been reported missing was found with serious injuries to her lower body at Lewis Bradley Park in Mississauga on Saturday morning.

Peel Regional Police said the woman was discovered around 6:30 a.m. Emergency services responded to the scene and took her to hospital. She is listed in critical condition.

Initial investigations indicate there is no evidence of human involvement and the injuries are consistent with an animal attack, possibly by a coyote.

Authorities are asking residents to avoid entering or passing through Lewis Bradley Park until further notice while the investigation continues.
