Montreal STM workers strike; public transportation disruptions until October 5
Montreal Transit Authority (STM) employees will go on strike from September 22 to October 5, causing disruptions to public transportation services.
Days affected by the strike:
Mondays: September 22 and 29
Wednesdays: September 24 and October 1
Fridays: September 26 and October 3
Restricted service hours:
Metro: 6:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., 2:45 p.m. to 5:40 p.m., and 1:15 p.m. to closing stations
Bus: 6:15 a.m. to 9:15 a.m., 3:15 p.m. to 1:15 a.m.
Regular service days: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, operating as usual.
Further explanation: Negotiations between STM management and the union are still ongoing and no final agreement has been reached.
