Toronto to open new 3,120 m² Big Bear Park at Eglinton & Don Mills on November 18, 2025

The City of Toronto has announced the opening of Big Bear Park, a brand-new public park located at the northwest corner of Eglinton Avenue and Don Mills Road. The park will officially open at noon on November 18, 2025, as part of the 24-hectare Crosstown mixed-use community development.

While the park itself will open to the public in November, the children’s playground will remain closed until December 2025 to complete final construction and safety checks.

The park spans 3,120 m² and will offer new green space, walking paths, and gathering areas for residents of the Eglinton–Don Mills community.

The City notes that although it aims to provide fully accessible information, some drawings and renderings on its website do not have text alternatives. Anyone requiring accessible formats or assistance can contact Marc Kramer at 416-392-7438.
