Record temperature rise in Quebec and other Canadian provinces
Unprecedented temperatures in Quebec and other Canadian provinces have led to the issuance of heat warnings. Temperatures in Quebec have risen to over 30 degrees Celsius, and in some areas, it's between 37 to 42 degrees Celsius. This temperature increase is typically 10 degrees higher than the usual spring season. It is predicted that this September will break heat records in Canada, posing a particular risk to infants, pregnant women, the elderly, individuals with chronic illnesses, and those working outdoors.
Additionally, it is recommended that people drink more water and stay in cool places. To help people cope with the heat, the province of Quebec has opened a number of pools and public libraries, and people can go to beaches like Verdun Beach and swim to cool off.
Temperature increases have also been announced in other provinces, with Toronto and Quebec expected to reach temperatures of around 40 degrees Celsius. People are advised to take precautionary measures and prioritize their own and others' health.
