Ontario's first snowstorm of the season
Environment Canada has warned that a "major winter storm" will move across the province today.
A general winter weather travel advisory has been issued for all of southern Ontario, including all of Waterloo Region and Welling County.
To the north, a winter storm warning is in place for Huntsville, Ottawa and Sudbury. These areas see between 25 and 40 cm of snow during the day.
The agency says Waterloo Region could only get 5 to 10 centimeters of snow today, while Wellington County will get between 10 and 15 centimeters.
It is expected to start in the morning and continue until the evening.
