Massive strike in Montreal; complete shutdown of subway and buses on November 1
Montreal's public transit agency (STM) has announced that there will be no metro or bus service in the city on Saturday, November 1.
The move comes as bus drivers, metro operators and station workers are on strike, unless an agreement is reached between the STM and the SCFP Local 1983 union by then.
Public transit service will also be available only during peak hours from November 2 to 28.
