Fatal crash on Highway 401 closes lanes in Oxford County
One person is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Oxford County on Highway 401.
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and fire crews from southwest Oxford were dispatched to the crash on the westbound lanes in the area of Foldens Line and Plank Line at 10:00 p.m.
According to police, two truck trailers collided and one of them caught fire.
One driver died on the spot and the other was taken to the hospital.
All westbound lanes on Highway 401 between Foldens Lane and Plank Lane remain closed and will reopen as soon as possible.
