With the victory over the Flames, the Oilers broke the record for the longest winning streak by a Canadian team in the NHL
The Oilers beat the Flames 3-1 on Saturday to break the Canadian NHL record 12-game winning streak set by the Montreal Canadiens in 1967-68.
Sam Gagner, Ryan McLeod and Zach Hyman scored for the Oilers. Stuart Skinner made 26 saves for the Oilers.
With this victory, the Oilers placed second in the Western Conference standings
