As the holiday season approaches, Nathan Phillips Square in the heart of Toronto is once again getting festive. The famous Cavalcade of Lights festival runs from November 29 to January 7 this year and is considered the official start of the holiday season in the city.
The opening ceremony will begin on the evening of November 29 with the lighting of the giant Christmas tree at 6:30 p.m. The evening will also include live music and ice skating under the colorful lights.

From December 6 to January 3, visitors can skate for free every Saturday and enjoy the light and musical atmosphere of the square. The festivities will end with a New Year's Eve Skate Party on January 4, with hot drinks, live music and a cheerful atmosphere to welcome the new year.
