Car chase in Etobicoke by suspects wearing fake police vests
A couple managed to get away after a chase with two armed suspects in Toronto, but their pickup ended up crashing into a utility pole.
Toronto police officers were called to Dundes Street West at around 5:10pm on Monday after receiving reports of a crash.
According to police, a couple was driving a black Dodge Ram pickup when another black pickup stopped in front of them and a white car was behind them.
The suspects got out of two other cars wearing fake police vests and attacked the victims before fleeing. However, no injuries were reported.
The couple managed to flee the scene, but their pickup ended up crashing into a utility pole near Dundes.
Investigators said the suspects fled in a black Ford F150 and a white Chrysler 300 before officers arrived.
One of the suspects is described as a man with a small build, about 167 cm tall, wearing a beige sweatshirt and sweatpants and a police vest.
The other suspect is described as a man of large build, wearing light jeans, a black jacket and a police vest.
Police are appealing for help from anyone with information about the incident.
