Canada's Camryn Rogers wins Olympic gold in women's hammer throw
Camryn Rogers, 25, of Richmond, British Columbia, won gold on Tuesday to win Canada's first medal in the women's hammer throw at the Olympics. At the Stade de France, Rogers achieved his best throw of 76.97 meters.

The results of the athlete are as follows: Annette Nicht Chikunoke of the United States won the silver medal (75.48) and Zhao Jie of China won the bronze medal (74.27).
Rogers made history in her Olympic debut at the 2021 Tokyo Games, becoming the first Canadian woman to reach the Olympic hammer throw final. He ended up in fifth place. Rodgers is currently the best hammer thrower in the world and enters the Games having won silver at the 2022 World Championships and gold at last year's World Championships. She is the first and only Canadian woman to win a medal in the world championships in the hammer throw.
