Calgary taxi drivers fear reduced ridership as airport introduces new fares
Calgary residents and visitors to the city who take a taxi to the airport will soon have to pay a small fee for their trip in the new year. The Calgary Airport Authority will introduce a new $4 fare for passengers arriving by taxi to the airport and surrounding areas, starting January 15. 2024. Airport officials also announced that the pre-paid fee for customers transferring from the airport will be reduced from $5 to $4.50. they have to pay a fee in addition to their rent. The added fee will go directly to the airport.
