British Columbia announced a free IVF treatment course in this province from 2025.
British Columbia is joining Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec in funding in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment.
Starting in April 2025, the province will offer a completely free IVF treatment course for British Columbians who need this method to start a family. The program, which costs an estimated $34 million a year, covers the cost of one course of treatment and medication.
This year, this province intends to form an expert clinical group to create an IVF program with public funds. This group will review the budget, age conditions, service delivery options and treatment paths.
