A wildfire on Mount Andrud near Port Alberni, British Columbia, has forced the evacuation of China Creek Campground and Marina. The blaze has burned more than six square kilometres. China Creek Campground and Marina, which is about 15 kilometres southwest of Port Alberni and has capacity for 250 tent and caravan sites, was evacuated due to the fire risk. There are currently 98 wildfires burning in British Columbia, nine of which are out of control.
