After injuring a police officer, a man jumped out of a car in the middle of traffic and ran away
The Ontario Provincial Police has announced that an officer was injured after a confrontation with a driver and a collision with a vehicle on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred at 7 a.m. on Tundra Road, near Kennedy Road and Old School Road, just north of the Brampton-Caledon border. A video has been released showing a man speeding through a quiet Caledon street and exiting a black Jeep.
The vehicle suddenly came to a stop, and in the video, a man in dark clothing and light-colored pants is seen moving the front and rear seats around. He then exits the vehicle and opens the doors. It appears that the rear tire of the Jeep is also damaged.
A spokesperson for the Ontario Provincial Police stated that officers from the province of Ontario responded to a report of a suspicious Jeep Wrangler. The driver of the Jeep fled the scene and had an encounter with an officer. During the incident, another officer fired their weapon at least twice, and the targeted Jeep sustained hits.
