‘Extremely dangerous’ suspect stabs relative in Westlock County: RCMP
RCMP in Westlock have arrested a man suspected of stabbing. The stabbing prompted Alberta to issue an emergency alert Friday night. The alert, which warned local residents that the man was armed with a knife and that he was "very dangerous," was issued about 40 minutes before the arrest.
The man was wanted in connection with a stabbing at a home off Highway 44 near County Road 603 in Westlock County. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. RCMP said the man left the home after the stabbing and fled into a wooded area. Police dogs were called to assist, and he was located and arrested without incident at around 7:10 p.m.
