Plunge for Purpose supports families in need
On Saturday, December 23, 2023, dozens of brave people in Vancouver participated in the Plunge for Purpose, raising funds by jumping into cold water to support families in need. The event was held in partnership with the Harvest Project, a charity organization in Vancouver.
The Harvest Project supports people facing trauma, illness, unemployment and the threat of poverty. The Numb Bums, a group of doctors and healthcare professionals, lead the event.
Plunge for Purpose raises funds through online and in-person donations. These donations are used to provide food, housing, medical care and other resources to families in need.
"Dr. Kevin McLeod, co-founder of The Numb Bums, said, “This event is a great way to help families in need in our area. We are excited to make a difference."
If you would like to support Plunge for Purpose, you can donate on The Numb Bums website.
