York Region Police are investigating a four-person gang attack on a Richmond Hill home that occurred early Sunday morning, Nov. 9, near McCallum Drive and Bathurst Street.

Police say three suspects entered the home around 5 a.m. where five members of the family were sleeping. The attackers woke up the residents, gathered them in one area, and ransacked the home. One person was struck but not seriously injured during the incident.

Police say the suspects are described as young men of South Asian appearance, wearing dark clothing, gloves, and masks. They fled the scene in a dark blue sedan with a fourth person behind the wheel.

Officers are asking the public to come forward with any information about the suspects or the vehicle to the York Region Police Department. It is not yet clear whether the house was targeted or if the incident occurred by accident.
